Report Highlights:
- CDC COVID-19 Hospital Admission Levels for the MMWR week ending November 18, 2023 is low in all counties.
- The percentage of deaths due to COVID-19 in the past week is a timely measure of mortality trends. For the week ending November 18, 2023, 2.2% of deaths were due to COVID-19 (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
- In the past week, 1.0% of emergency department visits were diagnosed as COVID-19 (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
- In the four weeks leading up to November 11, 2023, HV.1 accounted for 25.2% of sequenced variants. EG.5 and FL.1.5.1 accounted for 16.9% and 14.9% of sequenced variants, respectively
- For the week ending November 18, 2023, zero non-flu viral respiratory disease outbreaks were reported into the SIC module by K-12 schools.
- RSV activity has increased in recent weeks and percent positivity is 12.2%. If percent positivity remains above 10% for next week, this will signal the official start of the RSV season.
