New Transfer Center Orders Beginning Tuesday March 21

What You Need To Know

• Epic updates to Transfer Center Orders in “Orders” and “ASAP” will improve transfer communication and workflow.

Beginning Tuesday, March 21, 2023

• Transfer Orders: The current order will be replaced with distinct discharge orders about where the patient is to be transferred.
• ASAP: The following "ASAP" orders have been added to the ED preference lists and will appear in the Dispo activity when the disposition is set to “Transferred to Another Facility.”
  • Transfer ED Patient to Another Acute Care Hospital
  • Transfer ED Patient to Another Behavioral Health Facility
