The HMH Online CME Classroom provides CME credits though enduring education video presentations. HMH Libraries subscribe to electronic resources which offer FREE CME programs. Users can earn CME credits by searching and reading information from the databases UpToDate, ClinicalKey, AccessMedicine and PsychiatryOnline. Users will need to create a personal account in the resource in order to earn the FREE CME credits.
The Hackensack Meridian Health CME Online classroom provides CME credits through enduring educational video presentations using an internet format. Health information and technology are continually advancing. Physicians, dentists, nurses and other health professionals must maintain and improve their knowledge and skills throughout their careers. This creative use of internet technology can assist clinicians in learning safe, effective, high quality medical information while working at their own pace. The goal of the online educational experience is to improve the quality of patient care by promoting advanced clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes and enhanced practitioner performance.

For license renewal, physicians must complete 100 credits of continuing medical education (CME) during each renewal period, forty (40) of which must be Category 1 Credit, the remaining sixty (60) can be Category 1 Credit or 2.
FOR LICENSE RENEWAL STARTING IN 2015 AND EVERY RENEWAL THEREAFTER– Two (2) of the required Category 1 Credits need to be in End-of-Life-Care.
FOR LICENSE RENEWAL STARTING IN 2019 AND EVERY RENEWAL THEREAFTER - One (1) of the required Category 1 Credits needs to be in topics concerning prescription opioid drugs, including responsible prescribing practices, alternatives to opioids for managing and treating pain, and the risks and signs of opioid abuse, addiction and diversion.
Credits need to be earned by June 30 IN THE RENEWAL YEAR.
