Ocean University Medical Center

Ocean University Medical Center is a 357-bed academic medical center in Brick, New Jersey, serving northern Ocean and southern Monmouth counties. Part of Hackensack Meridian Health, Ocean combines the accessibility of a community hospital with the advanced services and expertise of a major medical institution.

Key services include a 44,300-square-foot Emergency Care Center; comprehensive cancer care; advanced cardiac and vascular services through the Harris Heart & Vascular Center; orthopedic and joint-replacement surgery; Primary Stroke Center services; neurosurgery; robotic-assisted surgery; maternity and critical care; and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation through the 40-bed Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Ocean also offers Hospital From Home and operates the Ocean Care Center in Point Pleasant.

Ocean provides graduate medical education through seven residency and fellowship programs. It is a six-time Magnet®-designated hospital and has earned a four-star CMS quality rating, national recognition for rehabilitation and maternity care, and Practice Greenhealth’s Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award.
