New HMH Centralized Verification Office
What You Need to Know
Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is moving to a new credentialing platform, CredentialStream, on October 31, 2022.
CredentialStream will replace Echo, Cactus, Morrisey and paper forms at our hospitals, creating a singular, standardized network-wide credentialing process for our physicians and advanced practice professionals. Credentialing and re-recredentialing will be standardized, and valuable information now will be housed in one place.
HMH has also created a new centralized verification office (CVO) which will provide a more user friendly and efficient credentialing process for all HMH credentialed practitioners. Initial applicants and practitioners being reappointed will only have to complete one application, no matter how many hospitals they applying for. Hospital specialty privilege forms will be standardized into one consolidated specialty privilege form.
Hospital reappointment dates will be standardized. In the future, clinicians will be reappointed one time every two years instead of being reappointed several times at different times if a clinician is on staff at multiple HMH facilities.
CredentialStream Helpful Tips
- CredentialStream will allow for online applications which will include pre-populated practitioner information thereby streamlining the application process.
- Section Chiefs and Department Chairs will be able to electronically review and approve initial and reappointment applications via the CredentialStream HUB (no more paper files)
- HMH credentialed providers will be able to get access to the CredentialStream HUB where they will be able to request changes to their profiles. (i.e. demographic changes, email changes, addition of a new board certification etc.)
