Report Highlights:

  • CDC COVID-19 Hospital Admission Levels for the MMWR week ending November 11, 2023, is low in all counties.
  • The percentage of deaths due to COVID-19 in the past week is a timely measure of mortality trends. For the week ending November 11, 2023, 1.9% of deaths were due to COVID-19 (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
  • In the past week, 1.0% of emergency department visits were diagnosed as COVID-19 (CDC COVID Data Tracker).
  • In the four weeks leading up to November 4, 2023, EG.5 accounted for 22.0% of sequenced variants. HV.1 and FL.1.5.1 accounted for 20.2% and 15.7% of sequenced variants, respectively.
  • For the week ending November 11, 2023, three COVID-19 outbreaks were reported in the SIC module by K-12 schools.
  • RSV activity continues to increase in recent weeks and percent positivity is approaching 10%.
