NetworkWide Airplane Mode Test Downtime 800 pm 1000 pm Sunday December 3

What You Need To Know

WHAT: On-call team members will not have remote access during the network-wide "Airplane Mode" system downtime on Sunday, December 3. All network traffic, including email, Internet access and any third-party applications that require internet access, will be unavailable during this downtime. Please review and refresh campus downtime procedures with all impacted teams. For any assistance needed in the preparation efforts of this event, please feel free to reach out to the Network Emergency Management Team at Networkem@hmhn.org. WHEN: 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023 ON CALL: If you are a team member on-call during this time, you will NOT have network remote access, and will only be able to provide support while onsite within the HMH network. During the downtime, DTSServiceDesk@hmhn.orgEpicServiceDesk@hmhn.org and MySupport will not be available. Issues should be submitted by phone only:

The Service Desk will be fully staffed during the downtime and will be available as systems are brought back online. This downtime will test the network’s "Airplane Mode" that in the case of a large-scale malware/cyberattack will block all inbound and outbound traffic at the network perimeter. This is part of HMH's defenses against cyberattack.
