Partially funded by grants from the State of New Jersey Department of Health, the Treatment Center will operate in partnership with community-based organizations to provide pharmacotherapy and culturally and linguistically competent counseling sessions to 400 underserved, uninsured smokers per year. Ana-Paula Cupertino, Ph.D., director, Latino Cancer Disparities Center, associate director, Cancer Prevention and Control, John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, helped launch the project. She will be tasked with implementing an electronic referral system within various Hackensack Meridian
