Eleven Patients Have Received Bone Marrow Transplants at Jersey Shore University Medical Center

Eleven patients have received bone marrow transplants at Jersey Shore University Medical Center since John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC) expanded to the location last year. JTCC has one of the largest nationwide bone marrow transplant programs in the U.S., with more than 7,500 transplants performed, and is best known for having a nationally recognized blood cancers treatment program, including multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemia.
“Given the rapid acceleration in science and progress in cancer, there could not be a better time to bring the benefit of innovation closer to patients' homes.  Having our experts rotate at JSUMC in the Hope Tower, will bring subspecialized cancer care, access to clinical trials or cell therapies, when needed across our communities in Southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware." -- Andre Goy, M.D., physician in chief in Oncology and chairman of JTCC
